The three days were replete with prayerful exercises as well enjoyable and enriching activities. In the morning of the first day, Sr. Lorena Sevillo gave a talk on God’s love, then facilitated an activity called life-mapping. The afternoon session was a talk on Call to Holiness and the different states of life, and about Mother Candida, given by Sr. Lillian Lim. Afterwards, the group had a chance to visit the Sisters in Tahanan for actual interviews on religious life and experiences, and their vocation stories. In the evening, they also watched the movie The Nativity which was a fitting end to the day as they reflected on the meaning of Christmas. It closed with their writing a prayer to Jesus, before they retired for the night.

After a short recap of the past day’s event, the whole morning of the next day was a great encounter with Lord and with themselves in creative prayerful moments and spaces. The ladies experienced the eight “Nooks of My Life “ using the Chapel for their time with God, the Grotto with Mama Mary, Under the tree for a reading of an inspirational story, Collage Making for the world that they see, Hallway in making Choices, Sacred Heart Shrine for the offering of their heart, their favorite space at MRH for the making of their family tree, and lastly, a Room where they could answer “Where am I going?”

Sr. Patricia Aragon and Sr. Lillian facilitated the afternoon session which was a great time of sharing with one another of the many experiences of God’s presence, of knowing themselves and one another, and many other things besides. After the evening prayer of entrusting their nooks to the Lord led by Sr. Lillian, the group rested after another full day.

On the third day, the group had the adoration of the Blessed Sacrament to bring to Lord all the fruits of their prayers and experiences, just staying with Him and allowing Him to talk to their heart. After this was the individual sharing with the sisters who are part of the Team.

In the afternoon, the participants enjoyed a Manila-by-Night tour. They visited five churches before enjoying the lights of Meralco Center: Santo Domingo; Our Lady of Mt. Carmel; St. Joseph Adoration Chapel of the Pink Sisters, Immaculate Conception Cathedral in New Manila, Cubao and Christ the king.

They also had a chance to attend the daily Christmas masses with the sisters at MRH compound which started their daily events. All went home with hearts full of joy and hope that these days will not end here but the start of the real journey with their Lord to where He wants them go.
