JOY!

joy

"SO THIS JOY OF MINE HAS BEEN MADE COMPLETE. HE MUST INCREASE; I MUST DECREASE." (Jn.3:22-30)

"Joy to the world the Lord is come!"

Joy is an "emotion evoked by well-being, success, or good fortune or by the prospect of possessing what one desires."

John expresses his joy that is being complete because of Jesus. Here and now,

When the disciples of John express their concern about the popularity of Jesus because people are coming to him, John tells them of his joy. He does not bother at all, if people come and follow Jesus. After all, that is the very purpose of his life- to bring people to God (to Jesus).

Indeed, JESUS is the source and the reason of John's joy.

Jesus is the joy of Christmas.

Contemplate Christmas and not compete. John's life and the baptism he is performing is a contemplation of the truth, that Jesus is the Messiah. He finds his purpose and is content about seeing the realization of what he lives for.

It is in knowing our person that makes us joyful.

It is discovering our purpose in life that brings us joy.

It is finding our place before God that which gives us joy.

God loves you by giving you Jesus. Be JOYFUL!
