Three Young Ladies Respond to the "Come and See" Invitation

As we celebrate Mary's Assumption into heaven, our Catholic dogma teaches that Mary, who was without sin, was taken, body and soul, into the glory of heaven.

The Gospel highlights, Mary's faith. Mary's faith enabled her to recognize the work of God in her people's history and in her own life.

Her openness to God allowed God to work through her so that salvation might come to all. Mary is a model and symbol of the Church. May we be like Mary, open and cooperative in God's plan of salvation.

In our morning praise during the celebration of Mary’s Assumption, we have been joyful and grateful to God for sending us three young women- Josephine Superioridad, Jehan Donnabel Velasco and Mayriel Quidato, who are inspired and were given the courage by the Holy Spirit to take an initial step, to “come and see” the process of maturing in knowing and following our Lord Jesus Christ as aspirants of the Congregation of the Hijas de Jesus. They are our teachers in St. James Catholic High School, Maasin, Iloilo. Let us continue to pray for them to continue being open and generous to respond to the will of God in their lives.
