Mass of the Holy Spirit Streamed Live from MS Chapel

“Come, Holy Spirit, we need you.” This was the theme of the Mass of the Holy Spirit celebrated in Manresa School last September 5, 2020 by Rev. Fr. Albert Garong, SSP, an alumnus of Manresa School batch 2003. albert

Fr. Albert feels very happy to celebrate the Mass at the Chapel for the first time.

Mass of the Holy Spirit is a significant event for every Catholic school during the opening of the school year especially in this time of crisis. Manresa School as a Catholic institution which promotes the Gospel values and love for the Eucharist, invoked the gifts of the Holy Spirit to guide, enlighten, and strengthen the whole educative community in its journey.

During his homily, Fr. Albert emphasized the values of sacrifice and patient endurance especially in times of difficulties and hardships, after telling a short story he shared about his father asking him to do a task which lasted that whole summer. What he learned from this activity enabled him to breeze through his studies and even allowed him to help others. These values are very important to live out in this present situation of our lives.

The school rose above the challenge of the “new normal” during this pandemic as the Mass was streamed live so that other members of the educative community, such as parents, students, and teachers who are working from home were able to attend the celebration.
