On 24 April 2022 from 2:30-5:00pm, an encounter with the youth of Marikina was held in San Jose Manggagawa Parish. Fr. Joselito Abraham Santos, the parish priest, enjoined the youth of his parish to attend.
There were 30 participants who attended; their ages ranged from 11 to 22 and 16 males while females were 14. Most of the young people came from Barangka, others came from nearby Tañong chapel.
Sr. Joji Silorio, FI gave an input on the topic of the encounter which was about Jesus, our source of Easter Hope. The young people were divided into small groups and they shared about their personal challenges & experiences of hope, Srs. Mary Mae Santorce, Crystal Bermejo, Felicidad de Jesus, Ma. Bema Solis, Ma. Leoly Quitorio of the Juniorate Community, as well as Srs. Gemma Doguiles, Lorena Sevillo and Lillian Lim of the Manila-Parañaque Community facilitated the small group sharings.
Just before the end of the encounter, light snacks & FI vocation souvenir items were distributed to the participants.
