Virtual Meeting of the Pastoral Youth Ministry and appointed youth Ministers in the Indico-Pacific

The Youth Ministry of the Indico-Pacific Province and the appointed youth ministers from the different Hijas Schools in the Philippines had their first virtual gathering last September 7, 2022, via Zoom, which was facilitated by Ms. Krisna Gregorios of Manresa School. The purpose of this virtual gathering was to present and discuss the different planned activities for the youth for the school year 2022–2023. It started with a prayer led by Ms. Merzi Joy Alson of Colegio de las Hijas de Jesus.

Mr. Jouard Jason Tasic of Stella Maris Academy of Davao then facilitated the introduction of members of the team. As the team embarked on this new challenge, he asked everyone to introduce themselves: their names, years of teaching, and emotions/feelings. Excitement and joy were the most dominant feelings after the short introduction.

Sister Crystal Bermejo, F.I. presented the different planned activities for the youth.       The various faith-based activities aim to strengthen the youth’s awareness and involvement in the life of the Church. After that, Mr. Cloyd Arbolante of the National University presented the first of many activities, the Rosaryo para ng Kabataan. It aims to exercise devotion to the Blessed Mary by praying the Holy Rosary and providing opportunities for the youth to lead and collaborate with the school community members.

The virtual gathering ended with shared smiles as the participants had their photo op. It was indeed an experience of mutual trust and collaboration. Indeed, God wills it!
