The  Sisters at Ulaliman Celebrate Feast of St. Joseph with Scavengers

In a heartwarming display of compassion and generosity, the Sisters at Ulaliman commemorated the Feast of St. Joseph by extending a helping hand to some of the most marginalized members of their community. Gathered together on this auspicious day, they distributed a total of 5 kilograms of rice to 100 recipients, predominantly scavengers whose livelihoods are tied to the local dump site.

The initiative was made possible through the kindness of a benevolent donor who graciously provided sacks of rice to be shared with those in need. The community came together not only to provide essential sustenance but also to foster a sense of unity and solidarity among all its members.

Before the distribution commenced, a solemn moment of reflection and prayer unfolded as attendees engaged in catechesis and recited the Chaplet. Amidst the tranquil ambiance, prayers resonated with hopes for strength, resilience, and prosperity for all.

"The Feast of St. Joseph is not only a time for celebration but also a time for service and compassion," The community is blessed to have the opportunity to reach out to our brothers and sisters who are facing daily struggles as they stand together in solidarity, recognizing the dignity and worth of every individual in our community."

For the recipients, the gesture of goodwill was met with gratitude and appreciation, as they received not just a bag of rice but also a reminder that they are not forgotten amidst life's challenges.

As the day drew to a close, the echoes of camaraderie and compassion lingered in the air showing the power of community and the enduring spirit of generosity. Through acts of kindness such as these, the legacy of St. Joseph continues to inspire acts of love and service, enriching the lives of all who partake in the journey of compassion.
