As we continue to rejoice with the Resurrection of the Lord, Sr. Lucia Li, FI made her perpetual profession of vows at the Sacred Heart School – Hijas de Jesus Chapel, Cebu City on April 2, 2024 (Tuesday ) This date is also important in the life of St. Candida Maria de Jesus because it was the day she received the Inspiration to found the Congregation of the Hijas de Jesus. This joyous moment was attended by Sr. Emelinda Falsis, FI, the Provincial Superior, Sr. Georgita Hormillosa, FI, the Local Superior of Cebu-Mindanao Community, other FI sisters, faculty, and staff of SHS – HdJ, and friends. Fr. Jerome Guevara, SJ presided over the Eucharistic Celebration. After the Holy Mass, we shared a sumptuous lunch in the Alumni Hall.

Sr. Lucia was filled with so much joy and gratitude in her heart expressed her words of appreciation:

“I am so grateful. It is God's grace for me through our Sisters and those who helped me in the formation to become a religious. Jesus wants me to become an Hija de Jesus sister, which has become a reality. It is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and give thanks. I also feel more free. The perpetual vows are helping me to live more joyfully as an Hija de Jesus sister - to live freely with Him and serve Him. This identity helps me to live my life in knowing, loving, and serving Jesus through His mission of saving souls.”
