On May 31, 2025, Sr. Pacita Legaspi, F.I., and Sr. Alice Peruel, F.I., joyfully celebrated their golden jubilee as Hijas de Jesus. Their milestone coincided with the 180th birthday of our beloved Foundress, St. Candida Maria de Jesus, and the Feast of Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, making the occasion even more meaningful.

The solemn Mass was held at the Manresa School Chapel. It was presided over by Fr. Restie de la Peña, Society of St. Paul, as the main celebrant, with Fr. Jason Dy, Society of Jesus, as the homilist and Fr. Kevin Joshua Cosme as concelebrant. In his homily, Fr. Jason pointed out three essential points:

1. Being formed by God's grace
2. As we are formed in His love, God blesses us to be fruitful
3. After one’s faithfulness in mission, we continue maturing as religious

The heartfelt renewal of vows by the jubilarians was made in the presence of Sr. Emelinda C. Falsis, FI, Provincial Superior of the Hijas de Jesus. Their recommitment to a life of faithful service was a powerful witness of God’s enduring call and love.

The chapel was filled with a joyful and prayerful atmosphere, thanks to the concerted efforts of everyone present. The gathering was attended by the F.I. sisters, family members of the jubilarians, friends, and guests who generously shared their time to honor this significant moment.

It was truly a day of thanksgiving for God's boundless love, mercy, and faithfulness, a meaningful occasion that touched the hearts of all and deepened the spirit of communion among those who witnessed it.

Following the Eucharistic rites, a simple yet heartfelt table AGAPE was held at the school’s old gym, further strengthening the bonds of friendship and shared mission among the attendees.

In reflection, Sr. Pacita noted: “Everything that had happened was a great blessing from Him. The entire celebration motivated me to persevere despite my aging condition. TRUST in Him. I am truly overjoyed that those who witnessed the event were both happy and content.”

Thank you, Sr. Alice and Sr. Pacita, for a life beautifully lived in the service of God. Congratulations on your 50 grace-filled years as Hijas de Jesus. To God be the glory!
