Paying Our Respects for our Dear Sisters

November 2, before the traffic started, when all was quiet in the cemetery at La Loma, some sisters of Mater Dei and Manresa Retreat House gathered to pay their respects, spent time and prayed for those who have gone before us.

With affection, many of those whose names are inscribed in the tombstones were remembered. A rosary was offered. A moment of silence symbolized our oneness, our solidarity as members of one religious family.

All Souls' Day always brings with it nostalgia, a longing, an awareness of our own mortality and an invitation to give the best of what we have while we still can do so.
