“Manresa School, for the past 50 golden years, has been faithful in responding to the call of the evangelizing mission as an educative institution, founded by the Hijas de Jesus Congregation, which is also celebrating its 150th anniversary. We are very grateful to God, our loving Father, for His providential care, for His mercy and compassion, and for His gift of faith and hope,” Sr. Nelida Penaflorida, F.I., MS Legal Representative, as she shared in her welcome address. She also added, “Even in a time of the pandemic, let us enliven the mission of bringing Christ to our brothers and sisters by giving hope and love. Let us continue showing our concern and care for others particularly to our fellow Manresans who get affected by the COVID19 pandemic and are now in dire need.”

One of the highlights of the show was the performance of the members of the famous Ben&Ben band, Paolo and Miguel Guico of Batch 2011. They performed one of their hit songs, Ride Home.

“We are hopeful that God will keep on touching all of us to continue working for the good of our brothers and sisters in need. It is our great hope and desire that this would inspire all of you to do more for others, to generously share because you truly care,” Mrs. Concepcion B. Villagracia, MS @ 50 Chairperson, reiterated in her closing remarks. She also added, “For the past 50 years, Manresa School has been a family, a second home to many of us. This is the place where we make remarkable memories. Helping Manresa realize its goals and desires so as to continue its service and its mission is like an invitation to come back home.”

The virtual concert was streamed on the Manresa School Official Facebook page. It featured 108 generous and talented performers. The production was directed by Mr. Alester Carreon, JHS English Coordinator, and edited by Mr. Francis Esmetalda, GS/JHS Computer Coordinator and Education Technology In-charge.
