Have you ever experienced being forgiven even before you could formulate the words asking for pardon?

Have you felt being deeply understood with compassion, of being liberated from a burden in your heart, of a person first reaching out to you even if you were the one at fault?

Have you ever felt being set free for a new beginning?

The first words of the Resurrected Jesus in His appearance to the apostles were “Peace be with you.” More than these words was the freedom, the lifting up, the “washing away” of what might still be with them – guilt, blame, self-pity, remorse – for a new beginning. Such is my God – who always reaches out first, who loves us beyond compare, who is ready to give a chance, again and again, so that we can get back on your feet.

What about you? What has been your Easter story?
