A Brief History of the Mater Dei Provincial House

Mater Dei Provincialate
The Mater Dei Provincialate was established on July 31, 2003, and after a process of discernment with her Council, the Provincial Superior, Sr. Florencia Constantino, requested the Superior General, Sr. Pilar Martínez, to establish a Provincialate Community that could devote itself more fully to serving the needs of the Province.
The newly established community was initially housed temporarily in the former Novitiate building. Following the renovation of the house, the community moved to its present location, which became the Provincialate of the Province.
The Mater Dei Provincialate houses the offices of the Provincial Superior, Provincial Secretary, Provincial Econome, and the Secretariat. It also safeguards the memorabilia and reliquary of Mother Foundress, as well as the Province’s archives, preserving the Congregation’s history and heritage.
In addition, the Provincialate provides rooms for the Provincial Consultors and other guests of the Province, making it not only a center of administration but also a place of welcome, service, and communion.
