Four-fold Events in a Eucharistic Celebration at Manresa School Chapel
Today, December 8, 2020, the Hijas de Jesus and the Manresa School educative community gathered to celebrate, thank, and praise God for four significant events, namely: the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception, the Patroness of the Philippines; the Launching of three other anniversaries: the 150th Founding Anniversary of the Hijas de Jesus; the 50th founding of Manresa School, Hijas de Jesus, in BF Homes, Parañaque City; and the 50 Years of Apostolic presence of the Hijas de Jesus at St. James Catholic High School in Maasin, Iloilo.
It was a joyful Eucharistic celebration with the presence of the Provincial Superior of the Indico-Pacific Province, Sr. Emelinda Falsis, F.I., some sisters from other houses, Manresa School’s Faculty and Staff, and a few guests, who had part of the Mass. Due to the current situation of the pandemic, the gathering was limited and strict protocols were followed.
The Priest Presider was Rev. Fr. John Klen M. Malificiar, of the Society of St. Paul, an alumnus of St. James Catholic High School, Maasin, Iloilo, and the Homilist, Rev. Fr. Albert O. Garong, also of the Society of St. Paul, an alumnus of Manresa School, BF Homes, Parañaque City.
Immediately after the Mass, video messages of some individuals who had been part of the Hijas de Jesus family from different centers were shown.
Then a Video presentation was shown that formally opened the year-long celebration of the 50th anniversary of Manresa School.
