Mother Foundress’ Feast Day Celebration at Ulaliman

The celebration began with the 8:00 a.m. Mass at the Divine Mercy Shrine, presided over by Fr. Val, MIC. Friends and members of the BEC families from the two puroks of Barangay Ulaliman joined the celebration. More than 50 families attended the Mass and listened to Fr. Val’s homily on the Christian virtues exemplified by Mother Candida.

In his homily, Fr. Val highlighted Mother Candida’s deep and abiding loves: her love for the Eucharist, her love for the Blessed Virgin Mary, her love for the poor, and, above all, her love for Jesus.

After the Mass, the BEC families passed by the Hijas de Jesús residence, where the sisters welcomed them and shared a simple gift with each family: rice, face masks, alcohol, and bread. The sisters expressed their heartfelt gratitude to their generous benefactors whose kindness made this gesture of sharing possible.

Blessed be God for His goodness and providence!

In the evening, the sisters gathered for the blessing of the newly built guesthouse, which was named St. Candida. The blessing was followed by a simple dinner, bringing the day to a joyful close.
