Sisters Receive the Transmission of the New Documents on Economic Administration

Sisters from the communities in Metro Manila gathered in the Memorabilia Conference Room for an initial presentation of the new documents on Economic Administration:  Statutes of Economic Administration and Code of Conduct for Financial Investments. The half-day gathering provided an opportunity for the Sisters to become acquainted with the document and to deepen their understanding of its purpose and significance in the life of the Province.

The Provincial Superior, Sr. Leoly Quitorio, F.I., facilitated the session, explaining the origins of the document, the process through which it was developed, and the different stages it underwent before reaching its present form. She also presented how the document would be introduced as part of the ongoing formation of the Sisters in the coming weeks and months.

The session proceeded with a reading of the articles, one by one, allowing the Sisters to raise questions, seek clarifications, and share their understanding of the provisions. This interactive approach helped them better appreciate the documents’ content and its implications for the responsible management of the Province’s resources.

Both documents will serve as important resources for the ongoing formation of the Sisters in economic administration, particularly for those entrusted with the responsibility of serving as treasurers in the different communities and centers. Beyond providing guidelines for financial management, this formation seeks to foster a shared sense of responsibility, transparency, and accountability in the administration of the goods entrusted to the Congregation.

The Sisters expressed their satisfaction with the presentation and welcomed the opportunity to become more familiar with the documents. They look forward to the next steps in this formation process and to discovering how these guidelines will contribute to the life and mission of the Province.

This initial encounter marks an important step toward a deeper understanding of economic administration as a responsibility of all, integral to the responsible stewardship of resources and to the sustainability of the Congregation’s service to its mission.
