Social Apostolate

The Hijas de Jesus are always AVAILABLE to serve the mission of CHRIST and the CHURCH where it is most needed. Therefore, they give their lives facing the challenge of interculturality, interreligiousness …
The concern and action in favor of the poor is vital in its Foundress, M. Candida, who said: “Where there is no room for my poor, there is no room for me.” In this way, the social apostolate has been present since the beginning of the Congregation:
Immigration
- Pastoral care, human promotion
- Accompanying these people in their process of regularization and integration so that they become autonomous citizens with resources to fend for themselves
- Offering support, accompaniment and work monitoring
- Promoting progressive social inclusion at all levels in the society of reception
Promotion of Women
- They try to offer women who are in a situation of great social exclusion or vulnerability, a space for personal growth, in which they are the protagonists in the recovery of their own dignity.
Childhood at Risk
Through care for street children, minors of both sexes who for different reasons are at risk or in distress, in boarding schools, in foster homes … they try to:
- Create an educational climate that fosters the integral development of the minor and their full psychosocial integration.
- Support the training and promotion of children and adolescents through school reinforcement and human-Christian training.
- Offer an educational and social resource that allows preventing and identifying risk situations of social exclusion, trying to minimize their presence and influence and enhancing all the positive aspects of the lives of children and adolescents.
Family Ministry
Visits and accompaniment to families in different places, meetings and personal accompaniment …
Transients and displaced persons:
- Attention and provision of aid to the socially marginalized, with social reintegration
Social Apostolate or Social Outreach Ministries
Faith in action leads the Hijas de Jesus to go wherever the needs of people are greatest, especially among the poor, the marginalized, and those on the peripheries. Inspired by the words of St. Candida Maria de Jesus, “Where there is no room for my poor, there is no room for me,” they accompany communities with compassion, promote human dignity, foster justice and hope, and proclaim the Gospel through loving service across cultures and contexts.

Collaboration
The Hijas de Jesus believe that mission is strengthened through collaboration. Together with Church organizations, educational institutions, and civic partners, they work to promote human dignity, defend human rights, respond to the needs of vulnerable communities, and build a more just and compassionate society. Through shared service and volunteer initiatives, they bring the Gospel to life by walking with those most in need.
