ACTS OF SOLIDARITY WITH THE POOR

There was a time in Saint Candida’s life when her grandmother gave her an omelet sandwich, but instead of eating her favorite food, she gave it wholeheartedly to a wandering peasant.

Saint Candida is a selfless woman. Her love for the poor and the less fortunate brought her much closer to God. There was always a special part in her heart dedicated to serving the needy. This special preference for and solidarity with the poor is constantly practiced by all of us.

Last August 7, we commemorated Saint Candida’s Feast Day with the theme … Reliving the Life of Saint Candida through Acts of Solidarity with the poor”. The celebration started with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass with Fr. Macky Sortido as the celebrant.
