The F.I. National Youth Assembly 2024 - Day Two

Morning Praise and Talk 2: Youth on the Road: Champions of Fraternity

The day started with the morning praise led by St. Candida School and everyone enjoying the NYA dance. Afterward, students gathered with Fr. Nathaniel Gentizon as he talked on Youth on the Road: Champions of Fraternity. Here he emphasized the necessity of building relationships not just with our fellowmen, but with God. Some students shared their testimonies as well on how they experienced fraternity as a youth which touched the hearts of the delegates. Self-reflection and sharing were also conducted to serve as a venue for them to build relationships, show love through listening, express themselves, and share their personal experiences which everyone related with and was grateful for.

Outreach

St. Candida once said, "If there is no room for the poor, neither is there for me." As a way of showing our love for the poor, we, the hijos and hijas of St. Candida, shared her message through a simple outreach organized by our NYA delegates. We warmly welcomed our guests from the Anawin Community and Don Bosco School for Boys and engaged in a fun game together. We shared our life experiences and talked about the things we are grateful for. Out of our love and generosity, goods are also distributed to them. The ecstatic smiles on their faces and their expressions of gratitude towards the NYA delegates were truly heartwarming.

Team Building

The ground was filled with echoes of laughter and jumps of joy as the delegates enjoyed the team-building activity. Each was given a chance to participate in different games where filial and fraternal relationships were being tested. Different strategies were unlocked and reflections of sportsmanship and teamwork were greatly observed, embodying the charism of our mother foundress.

Open Mic and Simple AGAPE

The evening was full of loud cheering as the students showcased their talents. Some sing with an angelic voice as the crowd waves their phones' lights creating an ocean of twinkling stars. Other delegates were also given a chance to showcase their talents in dancing in different genres which entertained the audience. After filling our hearts with songs, we afterward fill our stomachs with the differentiating tastes of the delegations ' hometown's pride. Different delicacies left us with a mouth-watering and scrumptious taste.
