14 Years Ago Today: St. Candida Maria de Jesus Canonized

On this day, 14 years ago, Pope Benedict XVI canonized the Foundress of the Hijas de Jesus, St. Candida Maria de Jesus, in the Vatican. She was honored alongside five other holy men and women, marking a significant event in the life of the Church.

This momentous occasion paved the way for all who follow her legacy to deepen their hope and commitment to living as she did. St. Candida's life of simplicity, trust in God's providence, and dedication to education and service continue to inspire us today. Her canonization reminds us that sanctity is not far from reach and that, like her, we are called to make God known and loved through our lives.

May her example continue to guide us on our path to faith, hope, and love.
