Today is a special day in which we remember an experience that touched the heart of Mother Candida, at the time still Juana Josefa, when she was only 24 years old.

It was on April 2, 1869, before the altar of the Holy Family in the Church of Rosarillo, when she felt with conviction the call of God: to found a religious congregation named Hijas de Jesus which would devote its life to the salvation of souls through the Christian education of children and youth. Two years later, that dream became a reality.
