April 2, 1869, 156 years ago, Juana Josefa Cipitria y Barriola received an inspiration to found a congregation under the name, Hijas de Jesus. Today April 2, 2025, three Manggarai young girls from Indonesia listened to the master’s gentle invitation “Come and see” . Today they have responded, “Here I am” . Kurnia, Fransiska and Kristiani were admitted to Postulancy in the FI Congregation. The Rites to Postulancy took place in the chapel of the FI community in Nekang, Ruteng, Flores Island. Indonesia at 10:30 in the morning.  The celebration was joined by their families who came just to witness their courageous children who responded to God’s call. Their presence and the presence of benefactors, friends, neighbors and some sisters from different congregation signifies the support and love surrounding them as they start the new chapter in their religious life. Sr Helen Catangcatang from Bangladesh and one of the members of the Provincial Council, represented Sr Lynn, who is in Rome for the GCXIX.

The new postulants received heartfelt and sincere messages from Sr Lynn, F.I., Provincial Superior, Fr. Abdon, SVD, from Taiwan, as well as a personal message from Fr. Fredy, SVD. of Indonesia.

Entrusting themselves to the Blessed Mother, they are certain that she will lead them to her Son, Jesus, Who showed them the way to the Father. They hope to live and grow in their vocation as God’s own daughters and sisters to all men in Jesus Christ with increasing enthusiasm, hope, joy and fidelity. They also look forward to the day when they could be sent to minister to their brothers and sisters in the Lord’s name.

Before the ceremony ended, Sr Mary thanked all those present who witnessed this event, as well as Mo General, Graciela, and Sr. Emelinda Falsis, Provincial Superior of the Indico Pacific Province, who watched online, for their unending support to the community of Indonesia, and the Sisters of the Indico Pacific Province, who were also present virtually during the celebration.  A simple meal was served after the celebration.
