September 3, 2025, Stella Maris Academy of Davao Faculty and Staff was graced by the presence of Sr. Leoly Quitorio, F.I., and Sr. Felisa Molina, F.I. on September 3, 2025. The two sisters shared with them their experience of the 19th General Congregation and some important articles of the Determination that pertain to the lay. Reflection questions were given, and conversation in the Spirit was the dynamic of the sharing by Emmaus Caring Group.

After the small group sharing, representatives from each sub-Emmaus group shared summaries and the fruits of their conversations. Upon their first encounter with the articles of the Determination, most of them feel hopeful, challenged, grateful, encouraged, inspired, and motivated. The group considered “turning vulnerabilities to strength”, to participate actively in diverse networks of care and to intensify their commitment to collaborate as lay partners in the initiatives and the aim of the congregation as the top priorities for the school community to work on in bringing hope that is rooted in Christ. With these priorities, they are inspired to pray more, to have a deeper trust and faith in God, trust the Congregation, to become better individuals, to bring Jesus to everyone’s life especially in their teaching, work and every day encounters with people, to collaborate more, to extend their care to those in need and to be living witnesses of God’s presence hope to all.

The session concluded with a spirit of gratitude and hope, along with a resolve to live out this determination in daily life.
