Rooted in Filiation-Fraternity: Hijas de Jesus Schools and Apostolic Centers Launch Strategic Three-Year Plan
APR 10
In a spirit of communal discernment, the Hijas de Jesus Indico-Pacific Province recently held a significant gathering of local superiors, Representatives of the Congregation in the Apostolic Work (RCAs), principals, and treasurers. Called forth by the Provincial Superior, Sr. Leoly Quitorio, F.I., the meeting centered on the Three-Year Mission Roadmap 2026–2029, a strategic three-year plan presented by the Team on Educative Action (TEA). Guided by the province’s directional theme, “Rooted in Filiation- Fraternity: Witnesses of Hope and Joy for a More Humane and Just World,” the roadmap seeks to ensure that all apostolic centers remain dynamic spaces of evangelization and social transformation. The plan is built upon four foundational pillars: deepening filiation-fraternity, spiritual and charismatic formation, the Global Compact on Education, and the ethical integration of artificial intelligence.
The presentation unfolded in a spirit of meaningful collaboration, as school leaders engaged in a sincere exchange of appreciation and affirmation for the TEA’s dedicated planning and thoughtful discernment. The participants offered valuable comments and suggestions, reflecting a collective commitment to weaving the Hijas de Jesus' charism into seamless integration of faith and daily life. This conversation underscored a shared desire to build inclusive environments defined by trust and mutual respect, where the educative community can effectively navigate modern complexities such as ecological and peace crises, mental health concerns, and social inequalities.
A vital aspect of this roadmap is its inherent flexibility. At the same time, the TEA provided a clear strategic direction and suggested timelines, the schools and apostolic centers have free rein to contextualize the suggested concrete lines of action. Rather than a rigid set of mandates, the plan serves as a guide that each center can adapt to suit its unique local reality, culture, and specific pastoral needs. By allowing for this creative contextualization, the province aims to foster a more authentic transformation, empowering each community to develop its own expressions of Filiation-Fraternity and service that best witness to the mind and heart of Mother Candida in their diverse contexts.
