Life’s Direction Session at El Salvador, Misamis, Oriental

From April 14 to 15, 2026, nine young people participated in a Life Direction session at Hijas de Jesús, El Salvador, facilitated by Sr. Felisa, Sr. Felie, and Sr. Dina. Five of the participants were from Cagayan de Oro: JP, Lyka, Eunice, Princess, and Arjon, and four from Bayugan City: Jesrelle, Jecel May, Chemma, and Win Love. Together, they experienced a grace-filled encounter rooted in faith, prayer, and community. Despite the small number, the encounter became an intimate space where hearts were opened and strengthened. The gathering began with a meaningful sharing of experiences, allowing participants to know one another beyond surface-level introductions.

This spirit of openness deepened as they were divided into three smaller groups. Within these circles, the youth courageously shared their personal stories, struggles, and aspirations, fostering trust and genuine connection. A significant moment of prayer was experienced during the Rosary and Chaplet at the Divine Mercy Shrine. Here, the participants entrusted their lives to God’s mercy, expressing a deep longing for healing and renewal.

As night fell, the bonfire became a sacred space. In its quiet warmth, each participant shared their personal encounter with God, revealing a faith that is lived, wrestled with, and continually rediscovered. The session concluded in gratitude, reflecting the spirit of Saint Candida Maria de Jesus, who taught the importance of seeking God in all things with humility and trust. The youth were then sent forth not merely with cherished memories, but with a quiet fire within them to recognize God in the ordinary, to love without measure, and to walk forward in faith, confident that He gently works through every willing heart.
