Metro Manila Community is composed of three houses, Manila, (NUNS), Parañaque (MS), and QC Residence (MRH). The community encounter was joined by fourteen sisters, Mo. General, Graciela Francovig, Gen Counselor, Ma Teresa Pinto, and Provincial Superior, Emelinda Falsis. The encounter started with a Eucharistic Celebration officiated by Fr. Marnie, a Comboni missionary. At 8:30 am, everybody was gathered at the Memorabilia Room of Manresa Retreat House.

The community encounter with Graciela and Ma Teresa was a graced opportunity to have familial sharing on the essentials of living our religious life as Hijas de Jesus such as subsidiarity, discernment in common and frequent communication of what is essential.

It was a community encounter with an atmosphere of Trust and confidence in God, as well as Trust and confidence in each other. To end the encounter we pray:

“Our desire is to embrace the wounds of humanity,

You know, we are vulnerable and poor,

but we know that your grace makes us strong.

Make us new, so send us out to the world.

We will speak your WORD that holds your HOPE.”
