“Kumustahan” of the Young Sisters in the IP Province
APR 16
April 16, 2026, was a significant day for the young professed sisters of the Indico-Pacific Province, as they gathered online to share their journeys. Sr. Catherine Cheong facilitated the session, assisted by Sr. Marie Sweet Candelaria.
The gathering began with a video song based on Psalm 139, highlighting how God continually sustains His people wherever they are. This served as a meaningful introduction, inviting the sisters to reflect on their own journeys and their experiences of God’s presence throughout the years. They were also invited to reflect on their present image of God, an opportunity to revisit and deepen their understanding of who God is in their lives after several years in religious life.
Their sharing of joys and challenges became a grace-filled moment, helping them realize they are not alone in their struggles. Through it all, Jesus remains present, accompanying and sustaining them.
The session concluded with words of affirmation and feedback from Sr. Cathy, drawn from the sisters’ sharing. The gathering was both enlightening and consoling, providing a space for mutual listening and support as they continue to respond faithfully to their vocation as religious sisters.
