Celebrating the 181st Birth Anniversary of Santa Candida Maria de Jesus at El Sal

The Hijas de Jesus Sisters in Ulaliman, El Salvador City, Mindanao, celebrated the 181st Birth Anniversary of Santa Candida Maria de Jesus on May 31, 2026, with a simple yet meaningful gathering inspired by her spirit of humble service and compassionate love. Community members came together in joyful fellowship, reflecting the charism of Santa Candida through shared moments of gratitude, friendship, and faith.
A highlight of the celebration was the distribution of gift packs to the BEC Mothers, FI Youth, and elderly residents of Zone 2, Ulaliman. The gifts, which included rice, canned goods, and food packs, brought joy and encouragement to many, especially the elderly, who appreciated both the practical assistance and the sense of being remembered and valued by the community.
The celebration served as a living reminder of Santa Candida’s enduring legacy: that holiness is found in simple acts of love and service. The sisters expressed their heartfelt gratitude to all sponsors and benefactors whose generosity made the activity possible. Through their support, the community was able to share God’s love in a tangible way and continue the mission of Santa Candida Maria de Jesus, whose example continues to inspire lives of faith, compassion, and generosity.
