The Hijas de Jesús communities of Metro Manila, including the Formation House of Asia Oriental, joyfully celebrated the Solemnity of the Holy Trinity and commemorated the 181st birthday anniversary of Mother Candida María de Jesús, the Foundress of the Congregation. The FI Community Joyfully Celebrates the 181st Birth Anniversary of Mother Foundress.

During the Eucharistic Celebration, special mention was made of this significant milestone, inviting the faithful to give thanks for Mother Candida's life, witness, and enduring legacy.

Following the Mass, a festive breakfast was shared by sisters, neighbors, friends, and members of the wider Hijas de Jesus family, including the formation house of Asia Oriental, who came from different parts of Metro Manila. The gathering provided an opportunity for fellowship and joyful reunion, which continues to strengthen the bonds of fraternity as a family of Mother Candida.

A short cultural program was added to the celebration, as the young sisters delighted the assembly with traditional songs and dances from their respective countries. The festivities continued with photo opportunities, the singing of “Happy Birthday” in honor of Mother Candida, and the rendition of the Hymn of Mother Candida. Filled with gratitude and joy, everyone enjoyed the fraternal gathering, celebrating together the gift of the Foundress whose spirit continues to inspire the mission and life of the congregation. With joyful and thankful hearts, the Sisters yelled: ”Viva, Madre Candida!”
