At exactly 9 o’clock in the morning, the sisters of El Salvador together with the staff and their families and some chosen friends celebrated the Holy Eucharist with Father Manny Regalado of the Lorenzo Institute Mission Society as the main celebrant.  The occasion was the 111th death anniversary of Mother Candida and the desire of the sisters was to celebrate this special day in thanksgiving for the gift of our Foundress to the world, church, congregation, and in the lives of many individuals. Father Manny even highlighted during his homily how Mother Candida inspired him to say yes to his mission when he chance upon the saying – “He who has given you the desire, will give you the grace and power to fulfill it” in the corridors of Kong Hua school. In his words, after that night, my life changed.

Simple snacks were served after the Mass followed by singing of the different sayings of Mother Candida and fellowship which included dancing and recreating.
