The in-person Visayas-Mindanao FI Regional Encounter is back. Sisters from Panay-Guimaras and Cebu-Mindanao communities gather at Colegio de las Hijas de Jesus in Iloilo City on November 24-25, 2023, for an enriching, inspiring, and informative encounter.

The first face-to-face meeting since the pandemic, the room is filled with palpable excitement, laughter, and the joy of seeing each other. 

The participants speak of their hearts being filled with gratitude and joy as they share and listen to each other’s reflections on the theme: “Walking Together in Embracing Our Vulnerability and Its Transformative Potential as Hijas de Jesus in the Philippines”. The points the allotted times for prayer, and the familial dialogues have provided beautiful openings for contemplation of the different personal and communitarian realities leading to a deeper awareness of the joys and challenges of living the evangelical poverty.

As the encounter ends, the sisters bring with them back into their respective houses and realities the rejuvenating hope and desire that through the grace of God, they may be able to respond generously to His invitations to live a life of coherence and fidelity as true Hijas de Jesus.
