Last October 7 and 8, the FI Local Superiors of Asia had an encounter with Mo. General Ma. Inez Furtado, FI, which was held at Manresa Retreat House in Quezon City.

This is the first occasion that Mo. General with her whole Council met all the Superiors and Council members of the Indico- Pacifico Province, including Mo. General. 19 Sisters were present in the encounter.

The first moment of each day was devoted to individual prayer by the participants. Significant topics on: ‘What is a Mission?’; ‘ Shared Mission from the Charism’; ‘The Mission of the Superiors’ and ‘The Amplified Community’ – ALL in their NEW, DEEPER AND MORE RADICAL perspective and meaning were presented to the participants by Sr. Ma. Inez.

The feedback and sentiments of the Local Superiors about this Encounter with Sr. Ma. Inez were that of DEEP
APPRECIATION and GRATITUDE; CHALLENGED and MORE DETERMINED TO ALLOW THEMSELVES TO BE
CARRIED BY THE SPIRIT OF JESUS in exercising their roles as Superiors.

The next day was marked for the meeting of the RCAs with Mother General and the General Consultors
