A Joyful Welcome to the Philippines

The arrival of Mother General Graciela Francovig and Sr. Rosa Espinosa in the Philippines was marked by joy, gratitude, and the warmth of a familial atmosphere.

The Provincial Superior, Sr. Leoly Quitorio, accompanied by a few sisters, welcomed them at the airport,

Meanwhile, sisters from the different communities in the compound eagerly awaited their arrival at the MRH portería. Their reunion was filled with joyful greetings, warm embraces, and the familiar beso-beso.

Amid the arrivals and reunions, the Bishop of the Diocese also arrived to host a convention organized by the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP). It was a welcome opportunity for Mother General Graciela and the Bishop to meet and greet one another, as captured in the photos.

The sisters then gathered in the chapel for a short visit to the Lord. Together, they sang the Magnificat in Tagalog, giving thanks for the safe journey and entrusting their visit to God’s loving care.

Lunch at the Provincial House followed, providing a relaxed moment for kumustahan—catching up with one another—and sharing stories and happy memories from previous visits. It was a beautiful time celebrating the gift of being together again.

After a long journey, a much-awaited rest brought the first day to a peaceful close, with hearts full of gratitude and joy for this long-awaited reunion.
