Provincial Superior's Canonical Visit to Cebu-Mindanao Community

August 14 - 17, 2024, Davao House, Provincial Canonical Visit

Last August 14 - 17, 2024, the Davao House of Cebu-Mindanao community was blessed to have Sr. Emelinda C. Falsis, F.I. in her canonical visit last August 24 -127, 2024. We are the first to be visited among the three community houses. The visit was smooth and had the atmosphere of fraternal spontaneity and simplicity among the sisters and with the lay. On August 15, 2024, Sr. Lyn spent the day conversing with the lay partners. She focused on synodality and co-responsibility. The other days of the visit were individual conferences with the sisters. The sisters are more animated by the presence of the Provincial superior.

Visit to Cebu House

From August 17-21, 2024, Sr. Lynn Falsis, our Provincial Superior, visited the Cebu House, She had an honest and genuine dialogue with each sister. The sisters felt comfortable expressing themselves, openly sharing with her the realities of their situations, including their challenges, joys, pains and hopes for the future. Sr. Lynn’s visit strengthened the individual sister’s commitment to becoming a true Hija de Jesus. Additionally, she held a warm and friendly yet fruitful dialogue with the school administrators, coordinators, and other lay staff, building stronger collaboration within the educative community. It was a rewarding visit leaving a hopeful impression on both the Sisters and lay partners.

El Salvador House

Last August 21-24, 2024. our Provincial, Sister Emelinda Falsis arrived in El Salvador for her annual canonical visit. The sisters had their dialogues with her for the next two days. We thank God for the experience as we felt disposed to open ourselves and listen to the leading of the Spirit. Apart from this, Sister Lynn also visited the houses built, funded by the Province in Purok 2, she spent time with the youth and children in our area and also talked to the mothers of the BEC. There were also moments of laughter, sharing, singing, and reminiscing common memories of the past. Three days spent as sisters as we share the mission that we have here in El Salvador.
