Opening of the Second Plenary Session of the Synod: A Path of Listening

On the Feast of the Holy Guardian Angels, the Synod of Bishops commenced its second plenary session with an opening Mass, followed by the first gathering in the Paul VI Hall. The presence of UISG and the dynamic presence of religious life amplify the voices of sisters from across the globe during this important occasion. Let us accompany all the people involved in this momentous event in our church with our prayers.

As Pope Francis said, this Synod is an opportunity for Listening to God's Voice: It's a journey of discerning God's will by reflecting on the dreams, hopes, and voices of our global Church, including the special role of religious life. Building Trust: The Synod creates a safe space of trust, respect, and openness where we listen and grow together. Religious sisters help nurture this spirit. Having a Humble Heart: Like Jesus, who placed a child at the center, we come to this Synod humbly, ready to serve and meet challenges with love and unity.
