Impressions on Online Canonical Visit of the Provincial Superior
Even though it was a virtual canonical visit, it was an experience of union of heart. Our experience for the past month had only deepened our faith in God. During the uncertain times in the country, there are only two things that I can do: put my total trust in God and constantly gaze at the cross – an assurance of his love for us. (Femy Solleza)
“Consecrated life is a call to be a balm, warmth, kind presence, impulse of hope, comfort along the way, encouragement, provoking question, communion, life that reveals Jesus of Nazareth.” (Det. 18 Art. 4). This is very real and palpable in the life of each sister in our context in Bangladesh, especially in the recent event in the country where our presence became the source of strength and hope to others, especially to our girls and lay collaborators all the more we trust in God. (Lory and Malou.)
The canonical visit of Sr. Lynn was a manifestation of how “God cares for us”. (CFI 136) even amid the uncertainties we are facing in Bangladesh at this moment.
The present situation offers us an opportunity to embody CFI 136, 'to resemble Him in all things and follow His footsteps even to the cross.' We have great hope that our constant self-emptying in various forms will lead us to lasting interior freedom and growth in faith. (Femie Pomado.)
Grateful for the kind and patient presence of Sr. Lynn. (Mou, Postulant)
I am most happy about the IC and community encounter with Sr. Lynn because, in those encounters, she gave me important messages to be more patient and stay happy. I thank her a lot. (Hannah, Postulant)
Through the canonical visit, I have connected more deeply with the significance of our presence in Bangladesh. Amid this period of uncertainty concerning our safety and protection, Article 4 of our 18th General Congregation comes to life more vividly than ever. (Helen)
