The Final Chapter: Pilgrims of Hope, Everlasting Mission

On March 31, 2025, Creative Expressions— a workshop-based event spearheaded by Colegio de la Inmaculada Concepcion, Inc., provided delegates with the opportunity to showcase their talents and abilities. As such, these workshops consisted of dance, poem writing, music, visual arts, and photography.

The dance workshops were led by Ms. Jessel Torda and Ms. Rosyl Ann Gapasangra, which engaged participants in upbeat performances, with 3 groups presenting a TikTok-inspired dance and two cheer dance numbers. Next, the poem writing workshop, guided by Ms. Dionessa Grace Galimba allowed participants to challenge their creative writing skills and craft impactful verses, which were later brought to life by a Sabayang Pagbigkas performance. Following this, the music workshop, under the mentorship of Sir Christopher James Barrios, composed an original song consisting of English and Filipino lyrics, entitled “One Heart, One Journey,” and performed it. Moreover, the song embraced the experiences and the lifelong process in the dichotomous journey of life with Christ and St. Candida's charism. Meanwhile, the visual arts workshop with Sir Jessie Zaragoza encouraged delegates to create thematic sketches, explaining each meaning in a rhyming quatrain. Lastly, the photography workshop, under Ms. Mary Carmel Barbasa, guided participants in capturing moments of faith, camaraderie, youth, and virtues in their daily lives. Participants were given the time to reflect and appreciate the God-given talents of their peers and themselves.

Soon, everyone gathered in the for the Eucharistic Celebration, facilitated by St. James Catholic High School and officiated by Rev. Fr. Renante Salabe. In this homily, he emphasized the importance of the youth and the lessons of PGYE beyond the event, reminding everyone that their mission and faith remain constant and steadfast.

Ultimately, the closing program, facilitated by Colegio De Las Hijas De Jesus, Inc., served as a time of acknowledgement and appreciation. Certificates were awarded to the sisters, faculty, staff, youth ministers, and delegates for their contribution and utmost participation. In her closing message, Sr.  Erna bIyo,  F.I., Local Superior of FI  Community ,expressed appreciation for the shared journey.  Ms. Metzi Joy Alson followed with words of gratitude, thanking every one for their involvement, highlighting the impact of PGYE on every participant.

After  lunch , the participants bid their farewells and departed for their respective homes. In spite of the bittersweet end, their paths diverged under the guiding light of God, serving as a beacon of hope and evidenced with the love, faith, and camaraderie they fostered.

This is not the end of everything; it is the beginning of a lifelong journey. A pilgrimage of faith, service, solidarity, and commitment to the paths they tread.
