JAPAN COMMUNITY, TRANSMISSION OF THE 19TH GENERAL CONGREGATION
SEP 19

The community room was filled with joy and excitement as the Sisters of Japan Community gathered last September 19-20, for the Transmission of the 19th General Congregation. Sr. Ma. Leoly Quitorio and Sr. Yolanda Brandolin facilitated this significant milestone. The gathering opened with an opening song entitled “La Audacia del Corazon,” which truly touched the hearts of the Sisters, ushering them to encounter God who speaks to each one’s reality - the God who gazes on each one with eyes full of mercy and love. This experience of God in prayer helped the Sisters become appreciative during their initial encounter with the document, making them determined to receive this precious gift, as they enter into the process of knowing and understanding the calls of the Determination. The two-day encounter was very enriching as Sisters generously shared the fruits of their prayer and reflection, a concrete manifestation of how God works and manifests His presence in the wisdom and experiences of the Sisters.
The community was truly grateful to God for everything and felt blessed and thankful to Sisters Leoly and Yolly, who spearheaded the transmission of the Determination. The venue and time given to express the resonances, doubts, concerns, and questionings helped a lot to shed light on certain aspects that were seemingly unclear at first, but afterwards became the moving force in setting the hearts of the Sisters to look forward to the deepening of the Determination in the months to come.

HERE ARE SOME IMPRESSIONS FROM THE SISTERS:
Blessed be God for all the blessings received during these two days of grace! The enthusiasm of Srs. Leoly and Yolanda, in presenting the Determination to us, have awakened in me a great desire to delve deeper and understand better where the Spirit wants to lead us at this crucial moment in the life of the Church and the Congregation. I ask the Lord to give us the grace to feel responsible, personally and as a community, for bringing to life what the Determination is asking of us at this moment.
Sr. Isabel
It was a great gathering! From the many Postulates I can now see in the Determinations received, the road ahead. From here on, I will pray and follow it.

La fuerza que da a la fraternidad y a la misión, como debe ser el ejercicio de la autoridad.
Sr. Rosina
Everybody really shared from their heart the questions given to us. My spirit was inflamed, as I now understand God's will through the Congregation's priorities and suggested means, to live out our charism, which is so relevant in today's world.
Sr. Flor
Grateful for the gift of the Congregation and community. I feel the challenge to authentically live out the charism in my own reality.
