Transmission of the Congregational Determinations and Visit of our Provincial Superior to Bangladesh
SEP 26

From September 26 to October 3, our community in Bangladesh joyfully welcomed Sister Ma. Leoly Quitorio, our new Provincial Superior, accompanied by Sister Gemma Doguiles, for the transmission of the 19th General Congregation Determination. With our hostel girls and our lay collaborators, we warmly received them in a spirit of love and fraternity.
Sisters Leoly and Gemma, who facilitated the transmission, highlighted the call to live Filiation as the deepest identity of the Hijas de Jesús. Rooted in being true “Daughters of Jesus,” we were reminded that this determination is both a gift and a challenge: to live fully our vocation as hope for humanity.
For Hanna, our postulant, when she received and read the copy of some parts of the determinatio, she said: “ being Hijas de Jesu is the goal and quality of our life as a Body, which with God’s grace I need to live out with commitment. “
The days also allowed for meaningful encounters beyond the sessions. Sisters Leoly and Gemma were able to glimpse our mission reality and have met other people like our Bishop, Parish priest, SDB Fathers and brothers, lay collaborators, and hostel girls. There was also a meaningful sharing of moments with Hannah's family. She said, “ It is for me a joy and inspiration to see the love of God uniting my family and the Congregation. “
As a community, we feel renewed in gratitude, hope, and commitment. With God’s grace, we move forward in co-responsibility, fidelity, and openness to embody the Determinations in our daily lives. We remain grateful to Sisters Leoly and Gemma for their presence and accompaniment.
