Pause from Motion: A Life Direction Session with Sr. Felisa and Sr. Patricia

Twelve members of the Sacred Heart School – Hijas de Jesus faculty and staff embarked on a two-day Life Direction Session on December 15–16, marked by intentional pauses for conversation —with friends, with God and with oneself. It was a much-needed respite from the year’s constant motion, offering space to listen more deeply and to continue discovering both the self and the quiet workings of the Lord within.

Each session became an invitation to be aware of the movements of the Holy Spirit, guided by the wisdom and gentle presence of Sr. Felisa and Sr. Patricia. In moments of sharing and in the stillness of prayer, participants entrusted their stories to the Father who loves so faithfully. Memories surfaced and shared – those of joy, sorrow, anger, frustration, and ultimately, forgiveness. As the session drew to a close, what remained was a profound sense of grace.

Participants were left basking in God’s mercy, compassion, and abiding presence, reminded that His work in them is far from complete. He continues to walk with each one, gently guiding and nudging them toward where they are called to be in their own life’s journey, their own nooks where faith, love and joy are abundant. These sacred moments are not to be taken lightly, for they help us become better attuned to God's will for us - to enable us to answer His call.

With grateful hearts, we thank the sisters for their generosity in accompanying us through this meaningful and beautiful Life Direction Session. Until next time!
