A Unique Celebration of the Golden Jubilee of Srs. Nilda Paloma, Emma Balingas, and Josette Gorriceta

On the Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul, June 29, 2021, the Hijas de Jesús celebrated with joy the Golden Jubilee of Consecrated Life of Sisters Nilda Paloma, Emma Balingas, and Josette. Sisters Nilda and Emma were then in Guimaras, while Sr. Josette was at Tahanan Candida Maria de Jesus in Quezon City.

Because of the circumstances at the time, the celebration was held online via Zoom, with the Eucharistic celebration taking place at the Guimaras Residence Chapel. The Mass was presided over by Fr. Jose Alex Seraña, Parish Priest of St. Michael Parish, Jordan, Guimaras.

The celebration became a joyful province-wide gathering as many sisters from different communities participated online. Sisters from Japan and Bangladesh also joined the celebration, making the occasion a truly meaningful expression of gratitude for the fifty years of faithful consecrated life of the three jubilarians.
