A Fraternal Encounter at the International Novitiate

July 06, 2017, a day that the F.I. novices marked as special at the “Noviciado Internacional de la Madre Candida” in Córdoba, Argentina. It was a day when the novices of the Hijas de Jesús and the Jesuits in Argentina gathered together at a simple dinner.

Both the F.I. and S.J. novices share the same apostolates in the barrio and attend the same Emmaus classes. Their common experiences in mission and formation have given them opportunities to know one another and to grow together as companions on the journey toward Jesus.

The day began with a Mass presided over by Father Juan Carlos Juarez, S.J., and concelebrated by Father Marcos Muiño, S.J. After the Mass, they gathered for dinner, where they shared their experiences in the apostolate and in their classes. They also exchanged delightful jokes and stories, creating a relaxed and joyful atmosphere.

The encounter became a meaningful opportunity to foster fraternity among the novices as they journey together in their vocation. Although simple, the gathering was profound, as it allowed them to share more deeply about their vocation experiences, the ways they have been growing in their calling, and the challenges and joys they encounter along the way.

It was a simple yet enriching encounter that strengthened their sense of companionship as they continue to discern and respond to God’s call to follow Jesus.
