Vespers 2 at Sacred Heart School Hijas de Jesus
After months of preparation, Vespers 2 finally happened last August 26, 2016. It was conceived mainly for three purposes: to be one with the Church in the Extraordinary Jubilee Year, to emphasize the importance of the Family and celebrate as an Hijas de Jesus Family, and to formally open the yearlong celebration of the 60th anniversary of Sacred Heart School – Hijas de Jesus as an independent Filipino Catholic School.
It was emphasized by our RCA Sr. Joji Silorio, FI, who was the scriptwriter of Vespers 2, that as an educative community, we can actively be one with the Church even within our school activities. The message of Vespers 2 was about the infinite mercy and compassion of God and His abiding presence in our lives.

Through songs and dance, the Junior High School choir together with the Music Ministry (composed of sisters, teachers and staff) communicated this message not only to the student body that afternoon, but also to the invited alumnae and family members of the faculty and staff at 6:00 in the evening. It is our hope and prayer as a community that all the members of Sacred Heart School Hijas de Jesus may continue to be instruments of God’s love, mercy, and compassion.
