F.I. Panay-Guimaras convene for “Proyekto de Misión Común”

The F.I. Amplified Community of Panay-Guimaras gathered at Colegio de las Hijas de Jesús in Iloilo City for a talk on “Proyekto de Misión Común” facilitated by Sr. Emelinda C. Falsis, F.I. on May 19, 2017.

This project aims to integrate the mission into the curriculum and all activities of all F.I. schools. With the present status of the congregation, the Sisters and Lay collaborators look forward to an increase in quality of values and virtues and an abnegation of the will and sacrifice of the heart. Trust placed in God is the basis of the poverty of the Hijas de Jesús.

The dynamics in the local community will enable the F.I. schools to cooperate in different groups and projects to become light and witnesses. “Misión Común” is a mission of life with the plurality of apostolic actions to enhance possibilities to create, innovate, design, and respond to the needs of the surroundings. Sisters and Lay partners will work together in the shared mission.

A reflective sharing of personal insights on the meaning and objectives of the “Proyecto,” as well as how to manifest this in dealing with one another, followed. School activities where the “Proyecto” can be integrated were planned. The theme song of the Sisters and the Lay “We Live, We Love, We Lead” was also sung.

“Proyekto de Misión Común” of Panay-Guimaras Community lives by this precept: “To bring the compassionate Jesus to our daily encounters with persons, events, and situations and to encounter the compassionate Jesus in and through them.”
